It is relaxing to make things with your hands. Even if my subjects are almost always the same.
To me, my art was always aquatic. Potentially always fish based. Hence the idea that art was F(ish)art…
Art is Fart
To the dismay of my teachers, I refused to make anything else. No matter what they suggested or even “demanded”, I ended up making something at least somewhat connected to the ocean. But regardless, I was doing what I loved and I guess they also could tell as well. Because, in the end I achieved multiple scholarships for my passion and craft (Nan Oliver Award, Dogwood District Scholarship, Rigg Scholarship). Take a gander at some of my favourite (“award winning”) pieces down below!
Surprise I also do other stuff!
Okay maybe that was an exaggeration, but here are a few random things I am working on or have finished. Once again most are fish but, not all of these are sculpture. I play around with acrylic paints, needle felting, sewing, and sometimes charcoal. This is sort of an exploration!
Bonus!
Although I made this for a class, I am super proud of this comic I made. Check it out in the post linked below!
